Autumn Jones works as a Human Resources Manager in Organization Development. She holds an undergraduate BS degree from Hampton University in Virginia and is currently pursuing her Masters in Organization Development and Change from Pennsylvania State University. Autumn was born and raised in Southern California, where she currently resides with her husband and two children.
Lisa and Autumn met over 16 years ago in corporate retail where they traveled together as buyers for Mervyn’s. Although their working relationship was short lived and their lives have led them to different geographic locations, their friendship has not faltered. Autumn is a fighter. After surviving cancer three times, Autumn credits her resilience to the love, prayers, and support from her family and friends, and to her growing relationship with God. When she could not lift herself, they were there to raise her. From this experience, she has learned intimately that sometimes women simply can’t do it all. Autumn is honored that Lisa chose her to be a part of this book. She knows the stress women face in the many roles they play and believes that too often women neglect their own hearts and bodies, as they constantly care for others. Through this lens, she sees Unveiled Beauty as granting women a gentle permission, a reprieve from the inevitable guilt, an acknowledgement of their own worth and a desire to etch a space for themselves in this hectic, joyful life.
“The first time that you hear those words ‘you have cancer’, it feels like an immediate death sentence. But what this hurdle has taught me is how deep my faith is in God, and just because man says it is so, does not make it so.” ~Autumn Jones
